Property Tax Revaluation

When you bought your home, you most likely noticed a tax value of your home. You also most likely kept this value in mind when preparing an offer. Counties in North Carolina are required to assess the value of properties every eight years. In this assessment, similar property sales, the accuracy of the property description on record, and improvements to the property are considered. If you feel that your property has been underestimated (which may affect the resale value of the home), you may appeal. Similarly, if you feel that your property has been overestimated (which may affect the property taxes that you pay), you may appeal. If you would like a second opinion on the value of your home, contact us at 833-NC-REVAL (833-627-3825) for a FREE evaluation.
